How do you feel about your instructor’s…
1) Lesson plan? Do you understand him/her? Do you need more conversation, etc?
Lesson seemed to be planned well. He had flash cards, worksheets and prepared verbs to conjugate. It was a good mix conversation and writing.
2) Help on improving your Spanish?
He helped me a lot - we had to begin at the beginning. He was very kind and friendly. He is obviously an experienced teacher.
3) Amount of class work and homework for you?
It was good, but I wish instead of cramming lots of new information, we spent more time reviewing what I learned previous days to help me remember.
4) Ability to explain / teach with clarity and patience?
His English is great so that helped a lot. He explained things well and was usually patient. It was at times seeming like he was distracted by other lessons in the room.
How do you feel about your host family’s…
1) Living environment for you?
It's perfect. They are warm and friendly, make a real effort to talk to me and get to know me. I have no complaints!
2) Amount and quality of interaction with you?
It's been great - about 30 minutes in the am and an hour or two at night. Lately, I have had to go back to do homework.
3) Foods for you?
Food has been really great. No complaints. I really like everything they have given me.
