Volunteer Spanish Academy Home

I'm very satisfied with my time in Guatemala and I was thinking about emailing you once I'm back in Japan. Homestay with Vicky, Spanish lesson with Alex, visiting the women's organization with Amparo were all extremely valuale experiences for me. The Spanish lesson with Alex was very easy to understand and if I could've continued, I could've been pretty good in Spanish. Vicky was always fun to be with and I was really comfortable there. We promised to keep in touch and when I come back in Xela, I told that that I'd definitely stay with her one more time. Also, I learned so much from visiting the women's organization. The organization's mission and activities were wonderful and I really wanted to place some orders. It was too bad that I couldn't do so since I don't speak Spanish well enough, logistics, etc. Amparo's store, ASOTRAMA had lots of volunteers (from America?)and had lots of helps but when I visited the villages, I had different impressions. I was able to talk to people working as volunteers in Xela but I guess it's just me but I felt there was a little glitch between those in need of support and those who are offering the support. I can't be a huge help but I left them my contact information so we can keep in touch. Kayono, Japan
